A delicious plaice salad that’s great to serve with new potatoes or warm crusty bread
Ingredients:
Cooking Instructions:
- Season the plaice fillets with salt, pepper, lemon juice and the juice of half an orange
- Add a little finely grated orange rind and roll the fillets from head to tail
- Place the fillets in a buttered ovenproof dish, arranging them so that they will not unravel
- Dot with butter and cover
- Place in the center of a moderate oven (350F, Gas Mark 4, 180C); leave to get cold
- When cold, drain , place on a dish, coat each roll with some of the orange mayonnaise, then garnish with a sprinkling of paprika
- Remove the peel from the remainder of the oranges and slice the flesh
- Dip the orange slices in French dressing and arrange them on a lettuce border surrounding the fish
- Serve immediately
